Beautiful playing bass with a warm sound that sounds great both pizz and arco. No longer my style and looking to find it a new home. I purchased this bass in March of 2016 from Upton who did a full rebuild of it.

From Upton
Late 19th Century smaller gamba-pattern flat back, just sorted by Upton including new bridge and fingerboard. Extended plank for the soloist.

Could be an ideal chamber music instrument, or a soulful jazz bass with a smaller footprint (well under 20 lbs!). Bright, quick voice, very responsive and warm. This reminds us of the Italian Pearwood bass we had last year, valued at nearly $100K.

Absolutely magnetic vintage piece! Refreshed and ready – add a Rev Solo and a Mooradian bag and gig for 125 more years.
