Excellent example of a very uncommon amp. In super clean condition, almost mint cosmetically. Includes all the things that always go missing - the two original footswitch with Yamaha markings (one not working), the Service manual and, unbelievably, the plastic dust cover that it came out of the factory wearing.
Perhaps the most uncommon of the TA wedges series of amplifiers. I've seen a few of the larger wattage 30s and 60s, but none of these (edit: apart from the tech I’ve just had it serviced by, who has one).
Sounds great, a nice clean sound that is perfect for small shows or home use. Get in touch if you need to hear some sound samples, I'd be happy to send some iPhone recordings through.
This amp was used in a church in 1968 with a combo organ, while they waited for the organ to be installed. After that, it was put in a cupboard until recently, and that's why it is in such great condition.
I’ve just had it fully serviced, recapped and tagged as safe, which is why the price has gone back up to my original Adkin price.
Only one downside, that the original speaker has been replaced be a generic speaker. My tech has suggested that some of these came with either the flexion speaker or a Yamaha 12” standard (his is the latter, I think it’s pretty rare as most suggest it’s a flexion). Anyway. This one has a generic
Post is an estimate - probably much less to Sydney and Melbourne - ask if you'd like a quote. Cheers!
