Here's a Vik Duality 8 string guitar. The fretboard is ebony and Purple Heart under the treble strings, which is very cool and even the pickup covers use Purpleheart. I wish this wood was used to more often on guitars
Acoustically, this guitar sounds very rich, resonant and punchy. I’ve played many modern metals guitars from Mayones, ESP customs, Siggi Braun, BRJ, Skervesen, Aristides, Ibanez J Custom and many more and I’d honestly put Vik in another league and my tech who’s also seen this Vik agrees. This and my Nik Huber were actually the only guitars of the 15 I own that really impressed him, but he’s very particular. If it was a 6 string I would not be selling, but I just don’t need 7 or 8 string guitars right now.
As you can see in the photos, there are several dings on top and back, which is why the price is a lot more reasonable than what they usually go for, but no functional issues. This Vik sounds and plays beautifully. Here’s your chance to get a Vik for way less than normal
