Listed is a Jazz Bass made in Japan most likely in the Matsumoku or Fuji Gen factories,
I purchased the loaded body several years ago from a seller who wasn't sure what brand it was but after researching I believe it to be an Electra.
Here are the specifics of the parts used in the building of this beauty.
Neck is a new aftermarket MIJ with a nitro finish that has the "A" width at the nut. (1.5"- 38 mm) and fits the neck pocket nice and tight.
I sanded the nitro down on the back of the neck to give it a relic appearance and also to enhance the playability.
Truss rod adjusts at the heel as seen in the pictures and works as it should in both directions.
The tuners are 20 /1 ratio from Allparts and work well.
It didn't have a neck plate when I bought the body but I eventually found a nos Kramer plate that fit perfectly.
I'm fairly sure the pups were made by Maxon and were highly microphonic when I bought the loaded body.
After I wax potted them to alleviate the microphonics they sound amazing and are extremely "hot" volume wise... ( Think Seymour Duncan quarter pounders on steroids ).
When I had everything apart I also installed a 12 position Varitone made by Kelling Sound which has solderless connectors and can be easily removed to solder the originals back in.
I will also include the original control plate and pots that were in it when I got it.
The bridge is the original 2 saddle it came with and intonates surprisingly well.
Strap buttons are Dunlop dual design. (strap not included).
Lastly, it doesn't have the chrome ashtrays and tug bar that came on it back in the day but I have seen repops available online if you just have to have them. :-)
Bottom line is....
This bass has no issues, plays and sounds great and outside of a couple of chips on the edges it's everything one would expect from these amazing instruments from the lawsuit era.
We will include a new Chromacast gig bag and it will be securely packed for shipping,.
( check my feedback.).
The fine print...
Ships in the Continental U.S. only. and I do not accept returns.
Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. Thanks for looking.
