From the heights of the analogue era, these Sansui SP-X9900s are the Top of the line X-series, of the rare and sought after speakers from Sansui's glory days. These are the second largest speakers Sansui produced and SP-X series are known for their authoritative sound, life like instrument sound and staging. Every driver is in perfect shape and will stay that way forever with resin impregnated cloth surrounds. These speakers are very hard to find in such great condition. Speakers are Made in Japan. They are in great shape and all components are original, tested, and working perfectly. Dimensions are 27" x 18.5" x 10", 46 pounds each.

Tight and fast bass response, low distortion, effortless mids and smooth highs these play well at any volume but there's something about them that makes you want to keep creeping the knob up for the incredible kick in the chest these massive things deliver. At a seriously impressive 280 watt power handling into 8 ohms, with 17" woofers, 8" mids, dual horns and dual super-tweeters and one UHF. In total, there are 7 drivers in each cabinet connected to a 5-way crossover with brilliance adjustments. Cabinets are in walnut finish and excellent color and condition. Cabinets are bass-reflex design with front ports. they are incredibly efficient speakers with a rating of 100dB / 1 watt, louder than most of the best speakers available today.

You will hear parts of the music you never knew existed before. And with a proper amplifier they will sound even better. They have such accurate/honest mid and mid-bass curve; these speakers can be used as guitar speaker or instrument speaker for electric piano or organ. They are great match to any vintage collection. I couldn’t believe the amount of bass coming out of these things. Perfect match to your vintage Sansui AU series High current amplifier too. Bass drivers have firm spider and work well with amps with low damping factor too.

I have had these speakers in my collection for more than 11 years, longer than any other speaker I’ve owned. Please see pictures of actual item for sale. Lattice grills can use some help and cleanup. Speakers come from a pet free, smoke free home and never abused. With Sansui prices going up, top AU series amps sell for thousands now. It’s time to pick up a pair of top Sansui speakers to complete the system you always wanted. Despite how much I've loved them the time has come for me to move them along to their next owner. Contact me if you have any questions, and at around 50 pounds each, I'm happy to deliver anywhere lower 48 for additional charge.
