About This Listing
This is the Vintage 1964 Epiphone Crestwood Custom Electric Guitar. W/HSC (not the one in the pictures)24.75" scale length. 1.58" nut width. 7 lbs even. Pots date to 1964. The Epi Crestwood Customs are held in high regard by collectors and players alike, and it's easy to see why. The lightweight mahogany body and set one piece mahogany neck set the stage for increidble natural resonance and sweet mids. Grabbing up that tone are my personal favorite pickups- Gibson Patent Sticker mini humbuckers. These beauties provide those huge, yet cutting PAF tones with a bit more articulation. Absolutely beautiful crunch off the bridge position and surupy sustain off the neck. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls, so you can dial this in perfectly. The neck has an incredibly comfortable feel- .85" deep at the 5th fret with a C profile. The look here is fantastic- cherry finish, bound fingerboard, large naturally aged white guard, oval inlays, bat wing headstock, Tremotone tailpiece with original bar, oval inlays, and pearl 'Epiphone' headstock inlay. This Crestwood Custom is in very good overall condition- section of repaired binding, tuners were changed to Schallers but originals reinstalled, typical finish crazing and general wear(examples in pics). The frets are in good condition- set up with action of 3/32 at the 12th fret low E.
