Here is an rare opportunity to buy an Kitty Hawk - Dumble mad in the very early 80th.
The boards in the amp was made by Alexander Dumble, only the transformators, the chassie and the cabinet was made by Kitty Hawk in Germany.
So this is as close as you can get to an original USA Dumble, without spending to much money.
I guess Kitty Hawk made around 20 Amps of these. I know and owned 6 Amps of it. Most of them were modified with Reverb or further Switch for Rock/Jazz......
It has the serial no. 006
This one is untouched. I bought it from the secound owner, who did not play guitar for 28 Years, so the amp was 28 years in his house and were not used.
And what should I say, the amp sounds great. clean like a Fender and the lead sound is what I know as the Dumble tone.
Kitty Hawk (earlier Acoustic Supply) imported Mesa Boogie and Dumble amps to Europe in the late 70th / early 80th. Dumble send Chassies and Boards without Trafos to Germany to save Transport costs. Kitty Hawk made the rest. Kitty Hawk has got a lot of spare parts to repair Amp in Europe. After Dumble stopped selling contract with Kitty Hawk, they build these Amps of the spare parts they had.
I put the amp into an original Mahagonie Top, so you can use the best Cabinet with it. If you buy the amp and collect it, you will get the original Black Cabinet too.
The Mahagonie Cabinet in Piture two is not for sale. It belongs to another Amp of mine.
I sold the last one to the UK and I found it on Rever for more than 23000 Euro. And the amp was modified!
This one is all original!!!!! Untouched solders. The Last Picture shows the original Cabinet with an Celestion Speaker. The combination does notsound perfekt. It's much better with another Cabinet.
(The output transformer and the power transformer are for 230 Volt and made in Europe. They have no codes. )
Until than the Amp stands save im my recoring studio.
