I'm selling a Vintage Alvarez 5022 acoustic dreadnought guitar. It's handmade in Japan. It's top has aged to a vintage amber. It has a square Martin (lawsuit) headstock with high quality mother of pearl Alvarez logo inlay. It's engraved "Alvarez" on the back of the headstock. It's also engraved "Alvarez HAND MADE" inside the guitar. The tuners have been upgraded to Gotoh oval tuners. The neck is straight with perfect action and has a soft V-Neck. It has a truss rod, which is not common for a vintage acoustic guitar. Clay dot fret markers. Vintage cream binding on the neck, front of the body, and back of the body. It has a beautiful rich looking tortoise shell pickguard. The bridge is solid with no lift or cracks. Electric input installed at the bottom strap button. Vintage Barcus Berry Pickup installed under the bridge. Also a mic installed under the bridge. None of the electronics are active, but are ready to be wired and activated if needed. There are scratches and dings and wear marks as you'd expect on an old guitar. The frets show decent wear as you'd expect, but still no fret buzz. This is such a solid and well made guitar. The superb quality is obvious. You can just tell that this guitar is no cheap Chinese acoustic from just picking it up. Sorry, no case. It needs a good home. A truly amazing instrument.
