The 50th Anniversary "1962" Sheraton E212TV features the original early ‘60s Sheraton profile with a laminated maple body with period correct binding with 7-layer white/black binding on the top and 3-layer black/white binding on the back.   The rosewood fingerboard has 22 medium jumbo frets, pearloid and Abalone Block and Triangle inlays, and Grover™ "kidney" style machine heads with a 14:1 ratio on a dovewing 3-on-a-side headstock with pearloid vine inlay.

The electronics feature Epiphone Elitist potentiometers and Epiphone’s non-
rotating ¼” output jack.  Pickups are Gibson USA mini-humbuckers.  Jazz players and rock players alike love mini-humbuckers for their flexibility. Mini-humbuckers were favored by Johnny Winter, Pete Townshend of the Who, and Scott Gorham of Thin Lizzy among many others. Mini-humbuckers are a perfect combination of the “bite” heard in single coil pickups and the warm overtones found in PAF-style full-size humbuckers.

The Sheraton E212TV comes with a Locktone Tune-o-matic bridge and Tremotone tailpiece, a beautiful recreation of the classic tailpiece found on vintage
Epiphones.

There were 1,962 of the 50th anniversay model produced, this guitar is number 1,263 of that production run.

Why buy a refurbished guitar?

I specialize in manufacturer refurbished guitars and basses because I believe they are a tremendous value.  These instruments have actually passed more quality tests than those that go straight from the manufacturer to a music store.  These instruments do not have major flaws, they have had a minor issue such as a slight finish blemish or perhaps an electrical issue such as a loose solder joint.  I buy my guitars and basses from the largest, and in my opinion the best, refurbishing center in the country located near Nashville.  They are staffed with factory trained luthiers who take great pride in the products they put up for sale.  Each instrument must pass 5 tests before it is released for sale.  Some of the models are discontinued and have no issues at all.  Each instrument is stamped used and issued a new serial number.  This is to prevent unethical retailers from selling these instruments as new rather than refurbished, because a refurbished instrument does not carry the manufacturer warranty.  I live close enough to Nashville that I travel to the factory and pick out my guitars myself.  I play each one prior to listing it for sale.  You can be assured if I would not be proud to give it as a gift, I will not take it.

Please email me with any questions you have, you will find that I give very detailed answers.  I am a musician first, and that drives my choice of instruments to sell and the detail that I give in answering any questions.

Thanks for looking!
