This is one of the most beautifully made pieces of audio equipment I’ve ever seen. It’s a massive Inductor/Capacitor variable filter. The Knobs on the front change the air gap in the Inductor coil and provides a huge range of filtering options. It sounds beautiful. With the transformer balanced ins and outs it is a very flat soft slope filter, but left unterminated it is a very interesting resonant filter which works wonders on synths and in the mix. I have the transformers wired in, but would be willing to put them on a switch or a potentiometer for variable resonance if the buyer so desired. I have breakouts for the XLR in and outs but would also be willing to install balanced 1/4” TRS connectors for interested buyers. These are extremely rare so I wanted to offer it up in original condition unless the buyer specifically wants modifications.
This has been a secret weapon at my studio for years but I am moving and need to pair down my equipment.
This is from the 1950’s and is up there with Pultec, RCA, Western Electric in quality.
