In 1983 Kramer introduced the Japan made Focus series.  Same year the "New" Floyd Rose Production tremolo was introduced & you could ONLY get a Floyd on a Kramer. The 2000 was the import equivalent of the USA Pacer Imperial with Classic “Beak” headstock. Only difference was pickups & tuners & of course it being crafted in japan at the ESP factory.  In 1984, it gained the banana headstock and like it's brothers in 1986 gained the same pointy droopy headstock. In 1988, the bridge hum was slanted while the neck hum stayed straight and the body acquired a more of a sharp radius body shape with pointy upper horns. The earliest of Focuses (like this one) sported the same "classic" style headstock as the USA models of the time. These headstocks also said "Focus by Kramer". Many speculate these guitars being comprised of left over USA made parts from the "classic" head era of Kramer.

 Very nice example of a piece of Shredding history. This Kramer Focus 2000 was made by ESP late 83. Quality build right here,...Great tone woods & superior metals. German made, heat treated, OFR with steel block is where it all started for our shredding world. This Floyd is a 1st year production. I have it set up as a "free floater" w/ only little pull back then hits the body, but it's enough to flutter as well. It's in great vintage shape. It does have some mojo with some very small dings but nothing eye catching. No cracks. This beauty has been basically a "case queen" for most of it's 30+ years life. The neck has been lightly sanded & is super smooth! Case is in incredible shape,.(MINT)...like new with strong metal feet as well. Original neck hum is included. I had a DiMarzio PAF PRO installed but left the bridge humbucker because it has that killer "BROWN SOUND". Oh ya! All electronics are original ESP factory installed. (of course except the PAF PRO)

Been a player/collector for over 30 years & I take pride in all my guitars in the studio & treat them as "works of art" & this one is no exception,..What a great piece of history built by a quality company such as ESP Japan. All my guitars get polished & waxed every few months & strings are always conditioned after use..

It's been in the studio not getting any play time.
