Amazingly cool and rare vintage guitar with equally amazing original case. The label on the guitar when I bought it states that it was a promotional guitar distributed by First National Institute of Allied Arts. I  would think it was probably made by Regal or possibly a similar maker.  I'm estimating it was made in the 30's, but a knowledgeable friend of mine thinks it is earlier. It could easily be from the 20's???

Very fine condition in terms of play wear, however as you can see, there have been some significant cracks. Two large cracks that have been repaired and a few other hairline cracks that do not appear to need any attention on the back. And one repaired crack on the front just above the pickguard as seen in the picture. Cracks all seem solid and to have sealed up well.  The magnification of the pictures make them look much worse than in person.

With the exception of the cracks, everything is exceptionally straight and flat including the neck. The pickguard is an early linoleum type material that is also used for the Fret markers. The tailpiece and Bridge are also unusual and cool. Tuners work perfectly.

Because of the previous cracks I don't leave significant tension on this guitar, and when I play it I tune it a step down. Sounds and performs wonderfully like this. The combination of the guitar and faux alligator original case (with purple felt) make for some major vintage Mojo.

Thanks for looking
