Also known as Shazam!, DC Comics' superhero Captain Marvel - justice enforcer, responsible user of super strength and speed, red Spandex enthusiast - always proudly displayed his signature gold lightning bolt on his uniform's chest. Apparently he has some fans down at the PRS factory in Stevensville, Maryland. Or maybe it just gets a little monotonous at times, painting guitars all day. We don't know what inspired the Shazam! guitar, but we do know that it's one of the hippest paint jobs we've seen, Captain Marvel fan or not. Everything else about this axe is pure Custom 22 perfection through and through. It has that articulate tone that can do hot and searing or warm and fat. The neck is thin and fast, perfect for fast leads and heavy riffs. This is a must buy for the guitar-playing Captain Marvel fan or anyone who wants a high-end guitar with a paint job unlike anything else.

Item Details

This PRS Custom 22 has a mahogany body with a maple top. Check out the custom Shazam! paint job. The body and Pattern Thin neck are mahogany, and the fingerboard is rosewood with Bird inlays. An HFS pickup in the bridge provides hot, searing tone and the Vintage neck pickup puts out buttery, midsy warmth. Both are very responsive and have a singing, vocal-like quality through an array of distorted and clean amp settings. The PRS Phase III Locking Tuners and PRS Tremolo bridge ensure tuning stability and easy string changes. This Custom 22 is a perfectly balanced, stunning looking guitar that'll thrive in any musical context.
