Fargen Amps Mini Plex MKII Tube Guitar Combo Amp

Near-mint condition Fargen Mini Plex MKII combo with high quality D2F custom cover. Built in 2009. Originally $1950 and I believe $70 for the D2F padded cover. Only gigged once. Very few hours and it works as new. VERY Marshall tone at incredibly low volumes- this thing absolutely screams at whisper volume, it's kinda freaky! You can read the specs below. It accepts various power tubes, I'll include the Mullard EL34's it came with as well as a matched pair of Groove Tube 6L6C, and a pair of vintage Tung Sol 6V6 tubes  — so you can experiment with a variety of the rich single-ended Class A valve sounds from this hand-wired tone machine! The preamp tubes are a pair of JJ EC83s (12ax7). The specs posted below are for the Mini Plex MKII model. I'm pricing to sell with what I think is a very fair price for an amazing amp that still looks and plays like almost new, plus two extra sets of fine power tubes and a good cover.

The Fargen Mini Plex MKII features the ultimate English classic rock and high gain crunch tones. It pumps out quality tone on par with a 50 or 100 watt Marshall, and maintains this at apartment/bedroom levels. The Mini Plex MKII hand-wired tube amplifier delivers high-energy, cranked tube amp tone at whisper quiet volumes with a mixture of great tube amp design, world-class custom components that you won’t find anywhere else, and the amazing Kevin O’Conner Power Scaling technology. The power scaling circuit uses voltage manipulation (think variac) to control output volume and power tube overdrives without cutting high-end frequencies like an attenuator does, and allows you to run the amp anywhere from 12 watts down to below a 1/2 watt for the ultimate low volume jamming experience.

The Mini Plex MKII captures all of your favorite British high gain and classic rock tones with the help of our patented “Decade Switch” technology.
