Up for auction is a c.1980 SUNN beta lead head with working foot switch!
Pertinent Specs: - 100 watts (and *famously* loud!) - 4 ohm impedance - Both channels have FX loops - Master FX loop/preamp out - External speaker outputs on the beta lead allow for easy mixing and matching This is a 1979 Sunn Beta Lead Amp Head
These amps are getting harder to find and are usually pretty well roached when they come around. This one is not mint but it is in very very good condition with all original knobs (one is missing part of it's skirt), clean hardware and just the usual wear after 30 plus years.
Two channels with Drive, Bass, Mids, Treble, Reverb, Volume and a shared Master Volume.The channels are individually footswitchable or you can plug into the center input and blend all controls for some seriously killer tone.
These aps have very warm "tube tone" and are rather versitile but are more known to be used for punk, metal, doom etc. The Beta Lead was used as a toring amp by Kurt Cobain, The Melvins...etc.
The amp functions perfectly with no scratchy and all electronics do as intended - just serviced.
Reverb and channel switching are controlled by the footswitch which has a 4 pin jack.
