Here is a sweet vintage hollowbody from the folks at Harmony. The model number is H945 and it was made in the USA in 1966. It is in good shape, but somewhat o still a project like all Harmony guitars in this catagory.
Here is the honest lowdown...
Condition:
-Good
-Finish is shiny, has various scuffs and bruises from use (see pics) nothing shocking.
-Frets do not buzz.
-Action is "normal high" as-is for an old Harmony Baseball type neck.
-Could be tweeked and geeked for lower action and intonation.
-Pickguard is an aftermarket replacement with vinyl logo (very cool looking).
-Neck heel has the usual slight lift, fits the tip of a heavy pick at the back side end (neck is solid).
-A K&K Big Shot pick up has been installed (3/4" diameter spot that is movable) under the pickguard.
-One tuner has a bend in it. I will not even try to bend it back. It is not that bad and the tuner works well. Caution: If you choose to bend it back. It will break off (been there done that).
-No case.
-Plays well and sounds nice and clear.
Cool Factors:
-VINTAGE Route 66 Daddy-O look!
-Thick Hollowbody with real plastic binding (not paint).
-Made in USA in 1966.
-Logos are intact.
-K&K Pick up.
-Great for the true Harmony collector/hot rod project enthusiest.
Serial numbers/inside stamps:
-7455H945
-S66-GM Made in USA
If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I feel this is an honest description and the best to my knowledge. I would still like to sell this "as-is" due to it's vintage. See my other listings for more.
