While the original Blue Oasis® provides sufficient humidity in many environments, it is not effective everywhere. The humidity demands of the desert, mountain states or frigid north exceed the humidification capacity of the device. For this reason, we have developed the Oasis® Plus+ humidifier. The Plus+ is the same size and shape as the original blue Oasis®, but is made of a different material which provides 50% more humidity output. Effective and reliable, it does what others can’t. Oasis® is simply the best guitar humidifier on the market because it:

·         Making it easy to see when it’s time to refill.

·         Providing long-lasting humidification.

·         Ensuring no leakage due to overfilling.

·         Promising two levels of leak protection.

·         Is stabilized to never touch the body of your instrument.

Because the Oasis® Plus+ HumidifierPlus+ is the same size as the original Blue Oasis® and it has 50% greater humidity output, it will be necessary to refill the Oasis® Plus+ more frequently than the original Blue Oasis®.

If one is using a hygrometer, we recommend that the Oasis® Plus+ be used when the room humidity is below 25%. The original Blue Oasis® should be used when the surrounding room humidity is between 25-40%. Above, 40%, you should not be using a humidifier.

It is important to also to monitor the humidity inside your instrument case. Case size, design, material and other factors will impact the humidity permeability of each case. While general rules are helpful, a good hygrometer located inside the instrument case will give you the best information regarding proper humidification requirements. Because tap and bottled water contain dissolved minerals that can clog the liner, distilled water is recommended to extend the useful life of your humidifier.

Important if you have a flat top guitar case

The Oasis® Guitar Humidifier does not work in some guitar cases. If you have a "flat top" case, there is not enough clearance above the strings for the cap of the Oasis® Humidifier. All "arch top" cases, that we are aware of, have sufficient clearance for the cap. If you’re interested in using an Oasis® humidifier in a flat top case, one of our customer’s has a solution below:

A Suggestion from a Customer:

I recently bought the Oasis humidifier and hygrometer for my new Seagull guitar and TRIC case. The Oasis is too tall for the case and it will not close. I noticed this issue mentioned on your website.

I was going to return the Oasis, but I found a simple solution for installing it - a rubber band. It's pretty secure- you can shake the guitar forcefully, and the Oasis will wobble, but not fall out or hit the insides. It doesn't take any longer than the normal install, nor is it more difficult, once you learn how to not drop the rubber band!

The Oasis and hygrometer are working great! Love your products, and I hope this info is helpful.
