This is a rare 2002 Martin 00-17 guitar. Only 500 made between 2002-2004. All mahogany, scalloped bracing, micarta fingerboard and bridge. Gold plated tuners. 1 11/16 nut,
25.4” scale length. Tortoise shell pick guard.
What makes it rare?
* short production run
* discontinued
* much less common than 00-15/000-15 models
* very few currently appear for sale
* collectors of mahogany Martins specifically seek them out
This particular guitar had a cracked headstock that was expertly repaired as well as a professional neck reset in the past. Holds its tune perfectly.
See pics.
It has low action and plenty of saddle height for further adjustment, but it plays like an electric!
Comes with original hardshell Martin TKL case.
I will include a Fishman soundhole pickup that was removed in past, but you could easily re-install.
Low price due to the previous repair. There is some finish checking on front and back few dings, but no cracks or other structural issues.
