Ampeg 720 SN Jupiter II Guitar Amp 1960
Rare Amp The Only One We Have Ever Seen.
Ampeg Book Lists this amp as a Jupiter II Only being made for one year in 1960
According to former Ampeg Designer Jess Oliver this amp may be a prototype.
Made while Ampeg was in Woodside NY.
2-channel amp with volume, treble, & bass controls.
Has a stereo input which blends both channels.
The amp also has vibrato however it is not working.
The AC cord and plug need immediate replacement for safe operation. Amp works but buyer should get ALL of the original electrolytic capacitors including the Twistlocks replaced. The amps sounds strong but will have better bass when recappedHas 2 separate Amps one for the preamp, & one for the power amp.
Overall good condition does have some wear
AMP WORKS WELL BUT MAY NEED A CAP TO MAKE THE VIBRATO WORK.
Missing the handle, and most of the screws that hold on the back panel.
Sounds Great!
Does not come with foot switch
