A/DA MB-1 MIDI Tube Bass Preamp ADA

A/DA MB-1 MIDI Programmable Tube Bass Preamp

If you want massive, professional bass tone with insane versatility at your feet (or via MIDI), stop scrolling. This is the legendary ADA MB-1 — the rackmount tube preamp that pros used for everything from clean fingerstyle and slap to aggressive rock/metal tones.

• Hybrid Tube + Solid State Magic: Two independent low-noise 12AX7 tube paths blended with crystal-clear solid state. Run them separate or parallel for thick, harmonically rich tone that no modern digital modeler fully captures.
• Studio-Grade Features: Built-in compressor, parametric EQ, contour filters, chorus, and programmable FX loops. Shape your sound with surgical precision.
• 128 MIDI Presets : Instantly switch between slap, fingerstyle, pick, clean, gritty, or full-on rock/metal patches. Pair it with a footswitch for live performance and never touch a knob mid-set again.
• Pro I/O: Balanced XLR direct out (pre/post), multiple outputs, ground lift — perfect for direct-to-PA, recording, or driving a power amp/cab.

Works with passive or active basses and delivers huge headroom with that unmistakable analog warmth.

Built like a tank in the USA. A staple in pro studios, touring rigs, gospel, fusion, prog, and session work. Most famously used for years by Victor Wooten. It gives you that big, punchy, articulate bass tone that cuts through the mix without ever sounding thin or harsh.

Whether you're a session player, gigging bassist, or tone chaser who wants real analog character instead of plugins, the MB-1 delivers tones that still hold up against anything made today.

Completely gone over and given a clean bill of health. Everything works exactly as it should. Cosmetically very good (please see pix). Owners manual is available at the A/DA website. These don't come around very often and rarely in this condition. Don't miss out!
