Infinity CS-3009 Crescendo Series 4-Way Speakers - Amazing 🎶 See Demo 👍

Selling my beloved pair of top of the line Infinity Crescendo CS 3009 speakers. These were exclusively made for Circuit City back in 1993-1995 and were a floor model that never sold particularly well due to their size and expense - they were over $2,000 a pair when new, and they sound like it. Most stores didn't even have pairs in stock. As such, these are pretty rare to come by and punch way above their weight.

These provide an amazing rich sound with great bass that didn’t need a subwoofer. Each cabinet contains a total of 5 drivers with a port in the rear - one EMIT-R tweeter, a 4" IMG midrange, a 6" IMG midbass coupler, and two 10" IMG woofers.

Though the CS 3009s have 5 drivers per cabinet, they are actually pretty easy to drive at 8 ohms, rather than the 4 ohm and difficult loads presented by the Kappa series. This makes them a good contender for biamping with tubes on the top end and solid state for the woofers. 100+ watts are recommended to really get the most out of them.

Each cabinet is 47" high, 12" wide, and 16" deep. The speakers weigh 80+ pounds each. These units are in good used condition with beautiful real oak veneer, with some minor scuffs. Since the veneer is real and of high quality, these would be relatively easy to refinish, oil, and restore to look even better - these speakers are a statement piece. These are 30 years old so they may need to be refoamed, I’m not an audiophile - but they have kits for $70.

I drove 4 hours to get these and have enjoyed them for years but as things have shifted to streaming I switched from hifi to AirPods. That said, it’s really hard to let these go - I looked at upgrading over the years but I’ve never heard another pair or speakers that sounded as good, even when comparing to a $5k set.

Local pickup only due to their size and weight. These sell for $900 to $1700, when you can find them - so these are priced to move. (You may need to bring someone with you when picking up as I’m unable to help lift due to a bad back.)
