Rare Vintage Ibanez 540S Saber

Rare Vintage 1988 Ibanez 540S Saber, serial number 881827, made in USA. 

I purchased this guitar new in 1989. It has only been played occasionally, and has spent most of its 30 year life stored in its hard case. It is in remarkable condition considering its age. As you would expect, there are some light picking scratches and a few minor scuffs which could most likely be buffed out (see pictures).

The solid mahogany body is unbelievable thin, and finished in a rare non-standard iridescent charcoal color.
The Wizard maple neck is thin and perfectly flat, with a rosewood fretboard and dot inlays.
The truss rod is working fine and there is plenty of life left in the frets.
The total guitar weight is 7.6 pounds.

The neck and middle pickups are IBZ USA single coils, and the bridge pickup is an IBZ USA humbucker. They sound great- very sparkly and cutting.
The electronics include flexible switching with two individual toggles for the single coils and a 3-way voicing switch for the humbucker. The master volume and tone pots are smooth and sound scratch-free.

The tuners, locking nut, and floyd rose fine tuners are all working well.
The Floyd Rose tremolo works smoothly, and the push-in trem bar is included, and still fits tightly.
An additional set of bushing rings for the trem bar are included, as well as an additional set of springs.

I upgraded the strap pins with Schaller security strap locks, but will include the original strap pins in case you prefer those.
Also includes the original Ibanez toolset, instruction guide, and hard case.
