Greetings, here is a excellent condition 79 Jose Ramirez guitar. This is standard specs of a 1A model. 664 scale, 54 nut width, standard action , 4.0 12th at bass size and 3.0 treble.
This guitars top is Redwood, not cedar and Indian rosewood.
The redwood has more a softer attack than most cedar Ramirez guitars. The strings response takes a little more time but the color and clarity is I think very high level. Singing First string , basses are very present. Redwood has that quality of color, of silky pure notes. Frets are original so will need to changed, with that it work it will increase the overtones and sustain. The finish is not as red as some Ramirez guitars, so you can enjoy the beauty of the wood. Please feel free to ask any questions.
Thank you
