The original Technics RP-9022 is a vintage, standalone dbx noise reduction unit. Perfectly paired with Technics decks.
It was designed to expand the dynamic range of audio recordings and virtually eliminate tape hiss on tape decks that lack built-in dbx encoding/decoding. Specs and sound better than original dbx-made units like 224, etc.
dbx Disc Support: Equipped to decode vinyl LPs encoded with dbx.
Device in good condition with no visible scratches. All original parts inside, capacitors are in excellent condition. It well-maintained, though some very minor scuffs, marks may be present. The unit supports both 100 - 120V power. Stored in a non-smoking home in California.
I no longer have a use for it.
