Big Briar (Moog) Etherwave Theremin
Back in the 1980's electronics icon Bob Moog got sucked into a legal battle regarding his name. This went on for a long time. But being the genius that he is, he figured out how to keep his products available to musicians. He re-branded as "Big Briar" and sold them as DIY kits that required very little to get them functioning like the 'other' units.
(He eventually did get his name back!)
This unit specifically was already assembled when I purchased it. It's a very fun instrument to play, even for the musically inept. Watching skilled theremin players is much like watching ballet- very graceful.
The only downside to this unit is that it's missing the power supply. It seems to have gotten lost in one of the moves. The power supply is a very simple 14vdc MIDI-style plug (wiring diagrams available all over the internet). I have priced it accordingly.
To compensate a little, a 4' adjustable mic stand is included (shipped in a separate box).
If you have any questions, please ask.
Thank you.
