Offering a vintage 1950's Oktava MDM-1 Military Ring-Mounted Dynamic Microphone. These Russian MDM-1's were built tough, and used for broadcasting, PA work, or industrial/military applications. It features a distinct bell-shaped metal casing with the front face having perforated grill holes. The small black logo stamped onto the casing is their classic styled bird/wing emblem of the Octava factory based in Tula, Russia. The shell has 4 heavy-duty metal wings where the 8 springs attach to the Electro-Voice Model 366 four-arm yoke assembly. There the element is suspended using 8 steel springs under high tension. This mic has tons of clean clear output, which you can hear on the listing video's voice sample. The mic with stand measures 17" tall x 6' wide. The desk stand is a rare design, and made of heavy cast-iron.
