This is an amazing sequencer. Probably the most powerful you can get in eurorack and it's always being added to via firmware updates. Not to mention it's also a sampler and has a lot of expansion possibilities with all the expander modules that XOR continues to develop, along with the I2C capabilities. It can now also function as a video synthesizer if you buy the video expander module. Included here is the TRS midi expander. For me the tracker style of doing things just didn't lead me to enough things that made it worth the effort because I didn't have any tracker experience before. But I will say this, if you find yourself making patterns on sequencers but you always get bogged down when trying to arrange those patterns into bigger structures, there is no sequencer that makes that easier than the NerdSeq. I almost wanted to keep it just for that feature alone. You can see a huge grid of spaces on the main page and once you've made some patterns, it's super easy to make them into little jam friendly segments or longer song structures. I would really recommend trying this sequencer if you think that might be good for your workflow. Please see my feedback and buy with confidence! Local pickup in Los Angeles is welcome.
