This is a pair of shure PG-81 condensers that I used as drum overhead mics for years. One of them has a little damage on the battery compartment where someone let a AA cell get too old. It was like this when I bought them and have never had any issues with it. Both mics perform the same with fresh AA batteries in them.
To be clear - in the picture, the damaged one is on the left. The white stuff at the top of the battery compartment on the right is just silicone sealer of some kind.
