From the 1960's this is a Slingerland 5.5x14 snare in a Red Sparkle Wrap. It's 100% original aside from the heads. Slingerland Stick Saver hoops. Interior and bearing edges are in good shape. No extra holes. Throw off and muffler are functioning 100% & original. Unlike the Chicago drum this is one of the rare drums made in the small town of Shelbyville Tenn. The Chicago drums had maple re-rings. The Shelbyville drums had hickory re-rings. That is because Hickory was plentiful in Tennessee. I have had this for years and only ever used it in studios in Nashville. I updated heads but left wires original because they sound so great and vintage.
