1960s/70s Lyle C 640 Classical. Matsumoku, Japan. Still in good shape and ready to play. Nice Gator Hard case included. This was Lyle's top tier in classical guitars. Quality built with quality materials. Solid Cedar top and beautiul grained Rosewood back and sides. Wonderful multi-ply binding work with light yellow accents. Wood has aged well and given it the warm resonate tone clear and balanced. Guitar plays with ease. 18 frets with 19th extension all smooth on the ends. 2" nut matched with 25.5" playscale. New set of D'Adarrio strings. Low action 2.5mm at the 12th fret with most of it's adjustment left at he bridge saddel. Guitar has some finish issues most from 50 years of playing. Guitar has no cracks or splitting wood. No chips. Neck is secure in pocket. Bridge is level with no pull. No hidden repairs. Top has some swirling and pickmarks in finish. Scuff on one side and the back has some light scratches/swirling in top finish and the name Collin scratched in the top finish. Name is some what hard to see unless at angle in the light. I hope Collin got grounded until he was 18. See last 4 pictures. With some light sanding and refinishing this would be a very beautiful guitar. There is a slight dip in the top from the bridge to the bottom of the sound hole. My guess was wrong strings or strings under to much tension during storage period. Does not effect set up. Guitar was in storage and would benfit from a deep cleaning/detail. Comes with a very nice and plush form fitting Gator hard case.
