Heritage H-535 Standard, 2022, OHSC & Paperwork, Great condition

I have a 2022 Heritage H 535 here with its hard shell case and paperwork.

Conditionally, this guitar looks great.

The body top looks excellent throughout. I found a little soft swirling on the pickguard. Any similar superficial swirling will be absolutely minimal. Anywhere else, I did not find any patterns of soft playwear. There will be just faint traces of use. I see one little surface swirling mark near the forearm area that is about the same intensity as guitar pick strumming. I didn't find any dings.

The body sides/edges look nice and clean across the perimeter. I did not find any bumps, indents, or any notable playwear. Any superficial swirling will again be absolutely minimal. I did not find any clusters or any buildup of any of that.

The body back looks the same. I'm seeing a beautiful surface finish with no buckle rash or worming. I didn't find any individual dings or marks. Nor is there any buildup or accumulation of any low intensity playwear. It looks fantastic.

The neck shaft contour looks and feels excellent, with nothing to report there. The headstock shows just one little mark. There's a little finish chip on the left side of the headstock tip, just a little micro mark about a millimeter or two in size. Beyond that, it looks clean. The frets are tall and full, showing no pitting or divots. The truss rod is working as it should. Note that the truss rod has a firm feel when you turn it, which is not uncommon on Heritage and Gibson guitars, but it has not been overused. It's barely been used at all, and I've thoroughly tested it in both directions. The setup plays fantastic. The guitar has great fretwork, so it is a joy to play.

This one rates a 9.5/10 and grades as excellent. I found one small finish mark, a tiny one on the headstock tip, as the only notable mark on this guitar. Any superficial playwear will be absolutely minimal. The pictures do it justice. It's a great specimen and plays and sounds as good as it looks.

This guitar is instantly impressive. For one, it strikes me as a very solid big guitar. It weighs in right around 8lbs which is not to heavy, but it has a very large resonating body area, with lots of mass. So right away i noticed that this thing really puts out some sound. You can almost play it as an acoustic guitar it is so naturally resonant. This translates to your electric tone of course, and it has a nice balanced tone and a huge spacious soundstage.

I have been fortunate to have had my hands on quite a few Gibson's and Heritages. And i enjoy and respect both brands and the thing that stands out the most to me between them, the difference in tone is as follows. This Heritage, and most all of the others i have played. Have a dense, solid, foundation of tone, with harmonic content, layers of detail radiating off of that primary EQ.

So overall this is certainly a classy, and toneful semi-hollow build, right up in that as good as it gets quality level. This guitar is equipped with Seymour Duncan 59 pickups. These are a great choice and are a well balanced and detailed sounding PAF reproduction. From my understanding they are actually wound on an antique Leesona in Santa Barbara CA.

So my final impression on this one is it will fill the need certainly for a great all around semi hollow body guitar, and if you like yours with an emphasis on natural power, sustain, and a firm authoritative tone this is an excellent choice.

Personally and subjectively i think it is also a higher quality guitar than a ES-335, and is of the level of the historic reissue ES custom shop guitars. I honestly feel that way about Heritage is that each of their instruments is custom shop quality. They are immaculately crafted in low numbers. So it's not an inexpensive guitar. But is among the finest crafted in the world.

I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
