The Epiphone Firebird in Kerry Green combines one of the most distinctive electric guitar designs ever made with traditional neck-through construction, twin Firebird pickups and a 24.75" scale length.

Built with a 9-ply mahogany/walnut neck-through centre section, mahogany body wings, bound rosewood fingerboard and twin ProBucker FB720 Firebird pickups, it offers a noticeably different response and tonal character from more familiar Les Paul or SG-style guitars.

This pre-owned example is presented in Excellent Condition, showing only very light signs of previous use.

A gigbag is included.

Neck-Through Construction

The Firebird uses a 9-ply mahogany and walnut neck-through design, with mahogany wings forming the outer body.

This construction contributes to:

• Excellent sustain

• Strong resonance

• Smooth upper-fret access

• Distinctive Firebird feel

• Excellent note definition

ProBucker FB720 Firebird Pickups

A pair of Epiphone ProBucker FB720 Firebird pickups provide the characteristic Firebird sound.

These dedicated Firebird-style pickups offer:

• Clear top end

• Tight low frequencies

• Strong note separation

• Articulate attack

• Hum-cancelling operation

• Excellent clarity with overdrive

They have more bite and definition than many conventional full-size humbuckers while retaining plenty of body.

Classic Control Layout

The electronics consist of:

• 2 Volume controls

• 2 Tone controls

• 3-way pickup selector

• CTS potentiometers

This provides independent control over each pickup and makes it easy to set up contrasting rhythm and lead sounds.

SlimTaper C Neck

The SlimTaper C neck profile gives the Firebird a comfortable, relatively fast-playing feel.

A bound rosewood fingerboard, 12" radius and 22 medium-jumbo frets make it equally comfortable for rhythm playing, chords and lead work.

Hardware

The guitar features:

• LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge

• LockTone Stop Bar

• Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners

• Graph Tech nut

• Nickel hardware

A reliable and familiar setup with straightforward adjustment and strong tuning stability.

Fair Deal Music Verdict

The Epiphone Firebird Kerry Green offers much more than distinctive looks.

Its neck-through mahogany/walnut construction and dedicated Firebird pickups give it a clear, articulate and sustaining response that feels genuinely different from more conventional twin-humbucker guitars.

The Kerry Green finish works particularly well with the reverse Firebird body shape, while the SlimTaper C neck and Grover tuners make it a practical instrument for regular use.

This example is in Excellent Condition and includes a gigbag.
