Up for sale is a vintage late-19th/early-20th-century 4/4 European violin outfit. This is a fantastic bundle featuring a high-quality stamped Lyon & Healy bow, a second antique German bow, and an original vintage hardshell case.
What’s Included:
Violin (Project / AS-IS):
• Model: Guarneri del Gesù copy (Cremonae / IHS paper label inside).
• Details: Gorgeous two-piece flamed maple back and scroll with double maker stamps on the back button and top plate.
• Condition: Sold AS-IS for project/restoration. The wood body, back plate, and top plate are solid with no major body cracks, but the fingerboard is detached, and it requires a bridge, soundpost, and standard luthier setup.
Bow 1 (Lyon & Healy):
• Fine octagonal Pernambuco wood stick stamped * LYON & HEALY on the player side.
• Fully lined ebony frog with mother-of-pearl eye inlays and a multi-segmented genuine mother-of-pearl slide.
• German-profile head with a genuine bone/ivory face plate.
• Excellent structural condition; straight stick with smooth tightening mechanism.
Bow 2 (German Export):
• Octagonal wooden bow stamped "GERMANY" near the adjuster screw (McKinley Tariff Act era, c. 1891–1914). Good vintage condition.
Case:
• Original 1920s P'MICO (Progressive Musical Instrument Corp.) plush-lined hardshell case with its original interior metal badge.
