Rhoney Paramour — Curly Redwood, Lollar Low Wind Imperials 2016 - Curly Redwood
UPDATE: I had surgery on 9/14 that went swimmingly, so I'll be offering 14% off the listed price of this instrument.
This is a fantastic custom-built Rhoney Paramour, one of the last guitars Paul Rhoney built under his own name, completed during the period his shop was sharing space with Kauer Guitars.
Built from curly redwood on the top and back, with a maple/African mahogany neck and African mahogany rim. Ebony fingerboard. The finish is beautiful and really lets the wood grain pop.
Loaded with two Lollar Low Wind Imperial humbuckers and 500k pots, paired with a Mastery Bridge and custom tailpiece. Comes with an Access heavy duty gig bag and a set of John Guilford padauk pickup rings. Note: a Mastery Bridge Allen wrench set is not included — buyer will need to supply their own. Weighs roughly 6.5 lbs — a real "all night" guitar.
The neck is straight and the action is perfect, currently set up with .010s and playing beautifully. Measures roughly .85" at the nut to .90"/.95" at the 12th fret — a very comfortable C shape. 12" fretboard radius.
I've barely played it myself since acquiring it — it's mostly lived in the case, so it's time for it to find a good home where it'll get the playing time it deserves.
