This is a beautiful 16" archtop in a blonde finish made by Ed Schaefer in 2023. Based in Austin, Texas, Ed has been handcrafting quality guitars for decades now. He's a luthier's luthier who knows his craft and a stand-up guy whose guitar you'd be proud to own.

The guitar is in very good condition. There is some faint vertical finish checking on the guitar that you can only see at certain angles up-close. It's hard to capture in photos and quite minimal. One is more notable near the volume knob—see photo. My luthier says none of the checking penetrates the wood, and it's simply due to change in climate and the thin finish.

This guitar is all solid wood with spruce top and maple back/sides. 16" width and 3" depth. 25" scale length. 1 11/16" nut width. Waverly tuners. Ebony fretboard, bridge and tailpiece. Neck is distinctly D-shaped, flat and quick.

For amplification, there are two options, both custom made. Currently I have a premium floater made by Jaen Guitars. I'll also provide a second custom floater made by MJS attached to a pickguard, so you can see which fits your style better. Both work great.

Guitar is set up well with fresh 11-50 D'Addario Chromes. Low action and no buzzing whatsoever. Good intonation. The acoustic presence is loud and clear. Electrified tone is smooth and warm.

Market price, ranging from $3500 to $6000, far exceeds my listing price here. I'm selling this discounted to clean up storage. I have another Schaefer to keep me company. Make use of this opportunity.
