The Lyric is the boldest of L.R. Baggs' systems: a microphone and nothing else. Its Tru-Mic mounts against the bridge plate with noise-cancelling that strips out the boxy inside-the-guitar sound, leaving the natural voice of the instrument — no piezo quack, because there is no piezo. An all-discrete preamp and analog conditioning keep it clean, a soundhole control handles volume and presence, and it installs without modifying the guitar. For players who want the plugged-in sound to be the acoustic sound.
