This guitar was purchased and used only twice in the 10 years since I bought it
- Body Design: Semi-hollow arched maple body based on the ES-355 design. Notably, it features no f-holes. This was B.B. King's personal request to eliminate stage feedback. [1, 2]
- Neck & Fretboard: 3-piece maple neck with a comfortable, rounded profile. It has a bound ebony fingerboard decorated with genuine mother-of-pearl block inlays. [1]
- Headstock: Multi-ply bound headstock featuring the "Lucille" inlay scripted in mother-of-pearl, accompanied by a gold truss rod cover engraved with "B.B. King". [1, 2]
- Electronics: Dual 490R (neck) and 490T (bridge) Alnico humbuckers paired with stereo/mono output jacks. [1, 2]
- Special Hardware: Features a gold 6-position Varitone rotary switch for specialized notch-filter tone shaping and a TP-6 fine-tuner
