The Nord Piano 5 is built as a dedicated piano performance instrument, pairing an 88-note Triple Sensor keybed with grand weighted action for touch and dynamics that respond the way an acoustic grand does. Two independent Layers give you access to six piano types - Grand, Upright, Electric Pianos, Digital, Layer and Clavinet and Harpsichord - so you can move between a concert grand, a classic Rhodes-style electric and a harpsichord voice without leaving the keyboard.

Under the hood, 2 GB of dedicated memory runs the Nord Piano Library and 1 GB is set aside for the Nord Sample Library, with 120-voice polyphony on the piano engine and 40-plus voices on the sample synth section so chords and sustained passages ring out cleanly. A three-band EQ with sweepable mid, tube overdrive and compression amp simulation, and a full effects suite including tremolo, wah, phaser, flanger, chorus and vibe let you dial in the exact character a part needs.

Dedicated reverb with multiple algorithms and a tap-tempo, ping-pong capable delay round out the sound-shaping tools, while an OLED display keeps programs and settings easy to navigate on stage. The included Nord Triple Pedal delivers true dynamic sustain response, and split functionality with LED indication makes it simple to layer or divide the keyboard for live performance.
