Ibanez PIA3761C Steve Vai Signature – Blue Powder – Made in Japan – 2023
For sale is my beautiful Ibanez PIA3761C Steve Vai Signature in Blue Powder, made in Japan in late 2023.
This is an exceptional instrument, both in terms of playability and sound quality. The PIA neck is incredibly comfortable and fast, with effortless access across the entire fretboard. Combined with the 24 jumbo stainless-steel frets and legendary Ibanez Edge tremolo, it feels extremely precise, smooth and expressive.
Exceptional versatility
One of the strongest points of the PIA is its huge tonal range.
The HSH configuration features DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups, designed specifically for Steve Vai and the PIA:
- 2 × DiMarzio UtoPIA humbuckers
- DiMarzio UtoPIA single coil
- 5-way selector
- Volume and tone controls
- Push/pull High-Pass Filter
The push/pull High-Pass Filter is fantastic. It cleans up and opens the sound beautifully while retaining definition and dynamics, making an already versatile pickup configuration even more flexible.
From crystalline, detailed cleans to warm and rich tones, articulate crunch and powerful high-gain sounds, this guitar covers an extremely wide spectrum. Pop, funk, blues, rock, fusion, hard rock, metal and instrumental lead playing all feel completely at home on it.
