This latest SG addition from the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville takes the aesthetic of the legendary Les Paul Custom and applies it to the SG body shape. The result is an instrument that sounds massive, plays beautifully, and looks exquisite. The classic look—featuring a deep black gloss finish and gold hardware—speaks for itself. Combine that with a solid ebony fretboard and the legendary 490R and 498T humbuckers, and the musical experience truly shines. These humbuckers offer a vast range of tonal possibilities, from clean jazz tones to the heaviest distortion. Even played unplugged, the guitar’s characteristic SG midrange presence is evident, translating perfectly to the amp.
