Great pedal that sounds exactly like Stevie Ray Vaughan's tone without the volume needed to achieve it. For a while it was named the "Arc Furnace" and here is the pedal in action:
Description from Klamac:
The El More is similar to the El Mo’ except for these differences:
More mids
– The El More has more upper mids and gets you more into Tube Screamer
territory (buy not THAT much midrange) . . . only with much more gain
and bass response on tap than a TS. Not as ‘congested’ sounding as
Tube Screamer pedals can be . . . but more upper-mid push than the El
Mo’.
Presence control
– While the El Mo’ has treble and bass controls, the El More replaces
the treble control with a presence knob (while retaining the bass
knob). Not quite the tonal range of a traditional tone control but the
presence circuit robs less mids and signal energy from the circuit.
Start with the control turned all the way up then dial it back to
darken the tone to your preference. The further you turn the presence
knob counterclockwise, the smoother and darker the tone gets.
Silent switching
– Well, not exactly 100% silent . . . but the soft-touch footswitch
eliminates the loud annoying POP that can sometimes occur with normal
3PDT switches in a true bypass circuit. You’ll still hear a click but
the POP has been virtually eliminated. EDIT -- El Mo' is now silent switching as well . . . so no more popping on any pedal we sell.
Bottom line – El Mo’ =
more mid-scooped tone, slightly smoother gain, more "polite". El More =
more upper mids, a bit louder, a bit more gain -- the El More is
exactly the same as the Fulltender but with pots in place of the Bottom
and Edge switches. But both pedals will do that throaty SRV thang.
