Introduction and Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how Reverb, Inc. ("Reverb," "we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our websites, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Sites").
For more information on how Reverb processes your personal information, please see our Privacy Policy.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your computer, mobile device, or other internet-connected device when you visit them. These files contain information that helps websites recognize your device and remember information about your visit. Cookies also help us make our Sites work efficiently, analyze usage, and personalize your experience.
We also use other technologies such as pixels, web beacons, and local storage that perform functions comparable to cookies. For purposes of this Cookie Policy, we will refer to these technologies generally as “cookies.”
What Cookies Do We Use?
Generally, our cookies fall into the following categories listed below with some examples of the uses for each category:
• Strictly Necessary cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are often used for security purposes or are set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the Sites will not then work.
• Functionality cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies then some or all of these services may not function properly.
• Session cookies are specific to a particular visit and carry information as you view different pages so you don’t have to re-enter information every time you change pages. Session cookies expire and delete themselves automatically in a short period of time, like after you leave a Site or when you close your web browser.
• Performance cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our Sites, and will not be able to monitor its performance.
• Third-party Advertising cookies may be set through our Sites by our advertising partners and may be used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertisements on other sites. If you do not allow these cookies, you will still see ads, but they will not be tailored to your activities across multiple applications or websites. These cookies are read by our advertising partners and allow us to re-target you with advertising as you browse the web.
• Social Media cookies are set by a range of social media services that we have added to the site to enable you to share our content with your friends and networks. They are capable of tracking your browser across other sites, which may impact the content and messages you see on other websites you visit.
Corporate Partners or advertisers on our Sites may use their own cookies in banner ads, emails, promotions, or newsletters, and some may rely on third-party “Ad Servers” to deliver ads and track responses. These Ad Servers may collect information about your device and Site activity using cookies, sometimes by briefly redirecting your browser to their servers before returning you to the intended page—often without your awareness. We do not control how these third parties use or manage the information they collect. However, some Ad Servers allow you to opt out of data collection by adjusting settings on their individual sites. You can also visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page to manage your preferences and review their privacy policies.
