1997 Fender Telecaster American Standard w/Waylon Jennings-style Custom Leather Cover/Wrap & Hard Case

1997 Fender American Standard Telecaster. Original finish under the leather wrap is Natural Ash.

This is a unique Telecaster and a way to get that Waylon look, sound and feel for a lot less than the Custom Shop Limited Edition example.

The Tele is in very good-excellent condition. It has some fretboard wear, but the frets have just been dressed and polished and no wear at all. It's been set up low and easy and super-fast! It has the traditional single coil pickups and electronics.

Regarding the cover:

-I have been tooling leather for many years and have made quite a few Waylon tributes. This is NOT one of the Fender Custom Shop Master-built Telecasters that cost $25k. But... I think it's just as cool and looks the part and sounds/plays great! I put a lot of time and effort in my art. The photos show the depth of the tooling and the detail of the pattern. I use Hermann Oak leather, FIebing dyes and colors. Also use kangaroo white lace. The depth and detail is pretty amazing! I'm very proud of my tooling work and have many happy customers! This is my interpretation and has my stamp under the pickguard. This one is inspired by the Telecaster that is now owned by Keith Urban. It was Waylon's Broadcaster and was bought by Nicole Kidman for Keith. The last photo is Keith performing with the original.

I've sold many guitars internationally, but sometimes the delivery is delayed due to customs. I ship my merchandise QUICKLY, but I have absolutely no control over any other country's inspections, duties, customs, etc..
