Hi guys, I’m selling this cool Roland U-110 PCM Sound Module Synthesizer made in Japan in 1989!

CONDITION: I inherited this Roland U-110 from a family relative. The instrument was given to me as 100% working, but the first time I tried to plug it in, the power went out in my house. I noticed that the power cord had been poorly repaired with duct tape, and I can see some exposed parts inside. So the instrument probably needs a new power cord to work.

I think this is the problem, but I'm not sure because I'm not an expert and I don't know how to repair or replace a power cord. I therefore believe this Roland U-110 needs repair and is therefore being sold at half price as defective, inoperative, or for spare parts. Aesthetically, it comes in very good condition for its age.  Photos are part of the description.  Sold AS-IS, for spare parts, with no return or refund optional.

FOR THESE REASONS THIS ROLAND U-110 IS SOLD AT THE BUYER'S OWN RISK, WITHOUT WARRANTY AGAINST DEFECTS: I CAN’T OFFER ANY REFUND OR RETURN.

DESCRIPTION (FROM INTERNET): The U-110 is Roland's first pure sample-playback module or ROMpler if you like. Like the E-mu Proteus/1 (that came out at around the same time), modules like these were meant to provide the users with a solid base of "bread and butter" sounds for pop, rock and dance music. The U-110 uses PCM samples in ROM, largely derived from the samples used for the S-series of samplers, such as the S-330, S-550, S-10, MKS-10, W-30 and so forth.

The quality of the samples in ROM is pretty high, even though the DACs are a bit noisier than they could be - however it's not very noticeable. One point in which the U-110 is great is the addition of four slots for the SN-U110-series of cards. These can all be used at the same time. The U-110 comes through as powerful, full of character, and with a sort of "presence" in its sonic aspect.

This is a purchase suitable for those who know how to play or repair it!

Sold as UNTESTED and NOT WORKING with no possibility of refund or return.

See photos & condition description for condition details, but feel free to ask questions.
