Here’s a rare gem: the Gibson WRC Showcase Edition from 1987, one of only 200 made!
Designed in collaboration with Wayne Charvel, this guitar is a testament to innovative craftsmanship and shredding power. Apparently the model was ultimately discontinued due to a lawsuit from Jackson. Features include:
- Pickups: Original active EMG pickups for crystal-clear tones and high output.
- Tremolo: Kahler Spyder system with arm included, offering exceptional Made in USA versatility.
- Finish: Alpine White with a heavily “relic’d” aesthetic from years of honest play. Expect paint chips, finish cracks, and signs of wear that add character to this vintage guitar.
- Playability: Despite its cosmetic wear, it plays and sounds incredible, with a fast neck and a tone that cuts through any mix.
It has an additional switch to engage the bridge pickup in any given position. The pearl white color was also limited to the Showcase models and has aged heavily on this guitar. The WRC also features an ebony fretboard with very flat radius, as well as jumbo frets which together with it’s slim neck make it play very comfortable.
The guitar is all original and it comes with the original Gibson hard case (note: lock combinations are broken) and strap.
A perfect choice for collectors or players who love guitars with a story and authentic vintage vibes.
