For sale is a stellar-condition first-generation Yamaha amplifier from the JX lineup that ran from 1979 to 1983. It has been well taken care of over the years. Recently had a touch-up service: pots and PCB cleaned and checked for loose connections, corner braces, and cabinet hardware buffed. The cabinet was thoroughly cleaned and reconditioned.
Everything has been kept as it came from the factory.
These amps, being manufactured in Japan, have mostly Japanese parts, including quality Nichicon electrolytics, etc. For the JX series, Yamaha outsourced/upgraded their reverb tanks from the 1970s integrated types to USA-made Accutronics. This model has a 10-inch speaker, JA2513, which took inspiration from Fender’s and sounds great.
