1969 Fender Esquire Telecaster Near Mint All Original Special Ordered with Tortoise Shell Guard

1969 Fender Esquire special ordered or made for a trade show with a blonde finish over ash, a rosewood fingerboard and a tortoise-shell pick-guard. Beautiful surf's up look usually associated with Blonde or Olympic White Stratocasters is certainly not wasted on this simple but attractive instrument. Near mint all original with no modifications or repairs, perfectly straight neck with working truss rod. No fret wear whatsoever, larger profile with a uniform taper not unlike a 50's Tele neck. The guitar is easliy near mint and all original, sometime in its past ownership there were stickers applied to the top only. We've removed the stickers and all evidence of them but not without some thinning of the original finish on the front easy to see in photos and the only issue this guitar has otherwise. Under the factory tortoise pick-guard are the faint initials JG and a hard to see "SPECIAL" is stamped into the wood in the neck pocket. This usually means trade show in Fender language but on the underside of the guard, written in pencil on an old piece of masking tape it says "mine". Could have been employee's instrument if not a special ordered or trade show guitar. 100% original Esquire electronics now my favorite model for using bright pedals in the neck position with 3 caps in the way, normally unusable wonderful with the right Tone Bender and amp.
