Fact; all blackface Fender amps from 1963-mid 1967 had knobs that had a) the set screw at the "10" position, b) an 8 with a "snowman" look, and c) a metal ferrule. Blackface amps made in late 1967 - early 1968 had the snowman 8, with either a 10 or "1" position screw.
If you've ever seen a knob on a 1963-1967 blackface amp that has any of the following features - - - a) set screw at "1" or doesn't have a set-screw at all, b) has a regular-looking "8", or c) has no metal ferrule - - - that knob has been replaced, and is not original.
These things matter on a vintage amp. If you want your amp to be 100% original, this is the part that should be on it.
