The SAVAGE Series has a rather unique body shape featuring an asymmetrical negative cutaway on the bottom. The SAVAGE Series were the only instruments from Daion that had bolt-on necks and pickguards (as the control cavity was routed from the top like a Fender).

The Daion SAVAGE was made in Japan from ~1980 to 1984 and features two “Power Pulse” humbucker pickups with the three screw anti-tilt feature, a single coil tap mini-toggle switch, a traditional three-way pickup selector, and two volume and two tone controls. Necks had rosewood fingerboards with 22 frets with pearloid dot position markers. Bridge bases were chrome with brass saddles and side screws to lock the bridge saddles in place (to improve sustain).

Guitar comes with a Daion branded hardshell case (as pictured).

Maintenance performed: body buffed; bridge components completely disassembled, cleaned and screws oiled; tuners cleaned; frets polished; fretboard cleaned and oiled; electronics checked; new strings.

Being a ~40 year old used vintage instrument the finish will not be perfect - there will be signs of use and imperfections. If you have questions, please ask before purchasing.
