Aria Dreadnought AD-80 Rare! Martin D42 D41 Clone 2006

These amazing guitars are really hard to find. This is from the small batch produced in 2006 when they reintroduced them to the US market, but only briefly. They were so strikingly similar to the Martin D42 that rumor has it Martin forced them to stop distributing in the US. I think they reappeared again later with some “design changes”. Look at the inlays, lol! Unclear if they were made in Japan or China but seems possibly China. It has the same inlays as the D42 (different from a D41) but the X Bracing appears to be more in the traditional position (with the X about 1.5" behind the soundhole) versus the forward shifted bracing seen on the D42.

This definitely has a solid spruce top and may have solid rosewood back and sides (specs say it should but I couldn’t tell for sure and different information online). It’s in great shape overall with a ding in the top and some light scratches. Excellent action and playability. It’s missing the end pin and comes in a solid hard case (case is dirty on the outside). Sounds as good or better than a comparable Martin, really special guitars!
